Franchisee Management Information System

Plutustree developed a comprehensive information system to manage an enterprise that is involved in delivering comprehensive English Language training programs and course learning modules throughout their multi-location franchise network across several cities.

Challenge

A reputed education and learning solutions company operating on a franchisee network model had franchises operating in multiple cities across multiple locations within each of the cities. Managing business operations in such a distributed enterprise was an enormous challenge. The system had to ensure that the requirements of all the stakeholders were fulfilled. This included the company’s management and operations executives at one end, the franchisee managers in the middle and the students at the other end of the workflow delivery life cycle. Managing the information using Microsoft Office documents such as Word and Excel and compiling data across all centres was a major challenge. Information availability to the right person at the right time to make the right decision was difficult. Using out-of-the-box software to resolve these issues was not viable as there was no software that would specifically address all of these issues without substantial customization which would be a very expensive option. The company called upon Plutustree to provide a custom solution which was to be functional and be cost effective.

Solution

Plutustree’s team went to work with a team with solid background in mapping enterprise processes, re-engineering, adapting and deployment as user friendly applications.

We designed a robust application that could be used over the web that fulfilled all the different stakeholder needs.

Fully functional features included booking courses online, managing faculty and class rosters, schedules, managing course material inventory across all locations, attendance management and delivering instant messages on stake-holder mobiles.

Comprehensive reporting helped support smart, on-time decision making.
